Yreka Food Drive Nov. 4th!
Another successful North County Yreka food drive!

Help Our Food Insecure Neighbors on Sat. Nov. 4th in Yreka!
About one in five children in our Siskiyou County are food insecure – that is 3.8% higher than the national average. So, there is a lot of need in our community.
To help address these needs, DCCSC conducted another successful local food collection event in North County on Sat. Nov. 4 in Yreka to benefit the Yreka Food Bank and Siskiyou Community Food Bank. Generous drop off and drive-through donations were accepted at Habitat for Humanity, 311 S Main in Yreka, from 10 am to 3 pm.
Donations included baby food, diapers and pet food. Cash and check donations totaled over $860.00! (If you want to write a check to support the Yreka food banks, make checks payable to the Yreka Food Bank or the Siskiyou Community Food Bank.)
