Are you interested in what protests are happening nearby? Or is there a postcard campaign and you'd like to write a few? Is there an "action alert" where you need to make phone calls?

If are interested in attending any of these protests, we are working on setting up a carpool process so you don't have to go alone! Just CONTACT US and don't forget to include your name and phone number! We'll work on getting people together to drive to the events.
Below is a list of some upcoming local activities where you can be involved! Although the Siskiyou Democrats are not sponsoring all of these events, we wanted to let you know what is happening!

ACLU.ORG'S "KNOW YOUR PROTESTER RIGHTS!" The First Amendment protects your right to assemble and express your views through protest. However, police and other government officials are allowed to place certain narrow restrictions on the exercise of speech rights. Make sure you’re prepared by brushing up on your rights before heading out into the streets.

Peace Through Action Postcard Meet Up.
2:00-4:00 at The Mount Shasta Brewing Company. Bring postcard stamps if you can.

To everyone who has shown up, written a card, or shared a moment of solidarity with us, thank you. Because of your dedication, our small community group Peace Through Action, has already sent more than 2,000 postcards, each one carrying a message of hope and action.
Please join us, there is always something you can contribute, we have many that don’t want to write on the cards, yet, they are as important as all of us, we need people to help in putting stamps on cards, attaching the address labels and some showing up in solidarity with support in our group.
We need everyone to join in and help make this project work, we are democracy in action.
Bring a friend! BRING POSTCARD STAMPS and let’s end the year with purpose!
