November 4th Ballot Measure:
Election Rigging Response Act
Every Democrat needs to be involved in this critical election in California! Texas is gerrymandering five (5) seats to flip them from blue to red in order to keep the House with a Republican majority. Many of us, I know, disagree with gerrymandering, but now is the time for California to fight back!
Siskiyou County, let's make a move to District 2!
IT'S IMPORTANT:
Passing the November 4th Ballot Measure:
"Election Rigging Response Act"
Every Democrat needs to be involved in this critical election in California! Texas is gerrymandering five (5) seats to flip them from blue to red in order to keep the House with a Republican majority. Many of us, I know, disagree with gerrymandering, but now is the time for California to fight back!
The proposed Congressional district maps for California were released on Friday, August 15th. You can view them and make comments by visiting this website: The CA Assembly Proposed Congressional Maps. You can get more information about the election at: Stop Election Rigging. The deadline for the vote by the California legislature to place the measure on the November 4th ballot is August 22.
Once the legislation is passed, we will be organizing our county Democrats to: 1) spread the word about the importance of supporting the "Election Rigging Response Act" and 2) get-out-the-vote. (If you or someone you know is unsure if they are registered to vote, visit voterstatus.sos.ca.gov)
The mail-in ballots for the proposed special election will be distributed around October 5th and the election is Tuesday, November 4th. Reminder: All of this effort is contingent on whether the gerrymandering is being done in Texas, Florida, Ohio, Indiana or other states. (If they do not gerrymander, then California will not.)
